We were tired on this PCTA work party. One full mile of the Pacific Crest Trail was in tip top shape after a four day weekend trip.
This is what we did for eight hours a day. Grub hoes and
A section of trail that the PCTA was fixing on a trip near Mount Rainier. This was a feeder trail to the Pacific Crest Trail and it had so much shale rock, that it seemed impossible to clear.
Our base camp for trail crew with the PCTA had a spring at it. We were drinking from it all weekend; it was cold and fresh!
If the PCTA is working on the trail and they say there will be a cook, then they mean it! And their trips have no extra costs to the volunteers other than getting to the trail.
I was on a horseback supported PCTA trail work party near Mount Rainier. I captured this cowboy telling a story about a hail storm he was caught in on a trip once. I like this guy!
