Panther Creek

Ross Lake Area

Miles: 11 roundtrip to Fourth of July Pass

Elevation: 2,000 feet gained

This trail has a very small parking lot! This is a hike that climbs switchbacks to more and more waterfalls!. Some use this trail to access Fourth of July Pass, unless you are hiking through to Thunder Creek trailhead, it can sometimes be recommended to day hike to the pass using the Thunder Creek trailhead. There are some campsites half way to the pass on Panther Creek and more at Fourth of July Camp. Day hiking Panther creek for the waterfalls alone is highly recommended.

  • Get there: From I-5 take Highway 20 east past Marblemount, find the trailhead just beyond mile marker 138 on the right. The parking lot at the trailhead is not marked and very small. The overflow and recommended parking is 3/4 mile up to Eastbank Trailhead.
