You Can be an Official Eagle Watcher along the Skagit River
Volunteer to watch the Eagles!
The Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is looking for volunteers that love to be outdoors. Do you like spending time outdoors, meeting new people, learning about bald eagles, salmon, the Skagit River and the North Cascades?
Applicants must be adults and it helps if they enjoy winter birding, and sharing knowledge with others. They are in search of volunteers who are passionate about public education and outreach.
Volunteers will staff information stations near eagle viewing areas along the Skagit River and look at eagles through spotting scopes while educating the public about bald eagles and the Skagit River System. 2015 marks the 23rd year for the Eagle Watchers Program and we would love to see new volunteers.

Interested in coming out to experience the program? Eagle Watchers will run on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00am-3:00pm December 12, 2015 through January 31, 2016. Public information stations are located at Howard Miller Steelhead Park in Rockport, WA, Milepost 100 (Hwy 20) and Marblemount Fish Hatchery. HERE is a link to their blog.
