Jack Mattingly & WHISKEY FEVER

Jack Mattingly, the front man for Whiskey Fever, is one of the most prolific songwriters I have ever known. A Birdsview/Concrete native, he’s a young guy with an old soul. He’s been writing songs since he was a teenager — songs that you could swear a man with tons of life experiences would’ve written, but they were coming from a 17 year old.

His band, Whiskey Fever, is a culmination of Dylan Dalgarn (college buddy) on the bass, Dennis Dorgan (a young phenom guitar player who also grew up in Concrete) on lead guitar and Andy Brown (childhood music mentor of Jack’s) on drums.

Although Jack has written some of the deepest, soul crushing songs I have ever heard, the shows consist of fun, upbeat, dancing songs and audience participation is encouraged. Not only are the band members amazing musicians, they also have a great report with each other, as well as the audience.

If you only go see one band that has been recommended in this column …. make it this one!! Every one leaves a Jack Mattingly & Whiskey Fever show smiling.
