Tenley Lozano hikes with her service dog, Elu. They have section hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in Southern California and the Goat Rocks in Washington. I asked her about taking her hiking partner into National Parks where dogs are not allowed.
Elu helps Teneley with her Post Traumatic Stress. I asked her if she ever gets people questioning her about her service dog because she appears to look ok. I asked this because I truly already knew the answer, I just wanted her to explain that not everyone with an issue has a certain "look".
We also talked about gear for Elu on the trail, what has worked for Tenley and what has not. How do they sleep in the backcountry and what does Elu eat?
