Kelcema Lake

Kelcema Lake

Kelcema Lake with my Girls

This is perfect for kids! A short hike with a decent trail around three quarters of the lake. There is a very large rock that sits next to the lake and I could tell that it is a popular rock to get on top of. There were quite a few people that were camping at the lake over the weekend and it still wasn't very populated. No crowds is a great thing if you ask me!

I met a guy on the trail that was directed up to Kelcema Lakefrom Edith at the Green Gables Hiker Store in Robe. She does such a great job up the Mountain Loop Highway. We stopped in and had lunch there on the way home and it was very good.

I can't believe that I grew up in Granite Falls and never made it to this beautiful spot, Kelcema Lake. We got in the lake and it was perfect.

I noticed two things while we were there. Someone at the lake had a chainsaw and was cutting up wood. I didn't see it, but it was very loud. Also, I saw a bunch of toilet paper in the bushes just twenty feet from the lake. This was in the big camping area near a cluster of tents...sad because there is a toilet there. Toilet Paper was definitely left out and unburied surprisingly close to the water.

Here are links to a couple videos I took from Kelcema Lake-
